July 1st marks the official halfway point of 2022, making it the perfect time to do a mid-year check-in on your New Years’ resolutions and professional goals. Recently, we asked you to tell us how your own resolutions have gone so far. Understandably, many of you said that you were struggling to keep up with any of them. While it can be easy to fall into the trap of setting goals and getting sidetracked with various other responsibilities, we have some helpful tips to make the remainder of 2022 productive and rewarding.
Revisit
When was the last time you reviewed the goals you set at the start of 2022? Take some time to write them down, making notes next to each one. If there’s anything missing from your list, now is a great time to add it!
Reflect
Now that you’ve gotten them written down, review each one honestly with yourself. Consider what has gone well, what still has room for improvement, and the best ways for you to accomplish everything you set out to do in 2022.
This is also a great time to identify any consistent roadblocks you’ve faced in accomplishing your goals. By taking note of what is going wrong, you can make adjustments to try and ensure it goes right in the future.
Rewrite
While some goals will remain the same, it’s possible that some have changed over the last few months. Whether your priorities shifted or your environment changed, it’s important to be flexible with your resolutions. If there are a few that just don’t seem to make sense anymore, consider rewriting them to be more aligned with your current needs.
