Welcoming the Fall Season to the Office

Recently we asked you to let us know how you prefer to celebrate the end of the summer season. The overwhelming majority chose barbeques with family, while the remainder chose hanging out in the sun or going to the beach with friends. As summer draws to a close, now is a great time to consider the different ways you can welcome fall into the workplace. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Start with Your Desk

Your desk, whether at home or at the office, is likely where you spend most of your time throughout the workday. A great way to celebrate the start of the fall season is to decorate your desk! From hanging faux leaves above your space to incorporating some seasonal plants, bringing some outdoor elements indoors can be a helpful way to welcome autumn into your space.

Take Advantage of Wall Space

Spruce up your walls in your workspace by incorporating some fall wreaths or other seasonal decor that bring you joy. A great option is to make creating wreaths a company-wide event. Organize a wreath-making party in the breakroom. Encourage everyone to bring in some leaves, mini pumpkins, and other decor.  Not only will this encourage everyone to get excited about the season, but it will help employees to bond and collaborate together on something outside of work assignments.

Bring in Some Seasonal Sweet Treats

Nothing says fall like a warm apple pie or pumpkin roll! If you enjoy baking for yourself and others, consider bringing in a few seasonally-themed sweet treats to share with coworkers. Not only will the delicious smells instantly remind everyone of the season, but it will show your colleagues that you care about them.

Consider trying these tips as you welcome the fall season into your workspace.
